Cancer sucks, in all it's many forms. It sucks health, energy, time and money from those actively fighting against it, those supporting the war effort and the doctors and health workers on the front lines doing everything they can to help.
I don't know Jimmie McDermott much at all, but I know the up hill battle he's fighting. I've had many friends and family go through a similar war, and it's never easy for anyone involved. Thankfully for Jimmie, he has a very supportive family and friends in the comedy community who, through Jimmie's brother Andy, organized a benefit show to help fight one of those battles: Jimmie's Medical Bills. On the most recent episode of RADIOLEARY, we make reference to this benefit show that we weren't able to attend, but both myself and Chris donated to, and we thought why not use the show to throw some aid elsewhere.
